Downtown Revitalization
Red Boiling Springs continues to invest in the preservation and growth of its historic downtown. In 2010, the city was recognized as a Tennessee Downtown Community, marking an important step in strengthening the downtown district.
In 2024, the city established the Historic Planning Commission and identified a historic district to help preserve the community’s unique character. In 2025, Red Boiling Springs began the Certified Local Government (CLG) process with the Tennessee Historical Commission, further supporting historic preservation efforts.
An important objective within the city’s current economic development plan is to pursue designation as a Tennessee Main Street Community, helping guide future revitalization and economic growth in downtown Red Boiling Springs.
